SAP Business One Technical Consultant

Signum Solutions are looking for a SAP Business One Technical Consultant.

Responsibilities

 

Your key responsibilities as a SAP Business One Technical Consultant will include:

  • Pre/post - implementation consultation with our clients
  • Providing functional bespoke solutions with a team
  • Collaborating with your team including other users, software developers/programmers, engineers/tech support, as a technical consultant
  • Scoping documentation (specifications, design documents, configuration, training ...)
  • Providing advice and customer care via adjustments of work processes both remotely and on site
  • Proactively identifying and assessing business risk
  • Analysing data and providing support and guidance to clients and colleagues
  • Provide alternate solutions where technical constraints impede the business process
  • Delivery of end user training
  • Installation and upgrades of SAP B1 software and Add-ons
  • Working on Help Desk to cover periods of staff shortages as and when required
  • Assisting our Support team to resolve open support issues if required
  • Maintain and continually update product knowledge and attain SAP certification (Training will be given)
  • Updating internal systems with project time sheets and visit reports for your activities
  • Flexible for travel

 

Requirements

 

To be eligible to apply for the role of SAP Business One Technical Consultant, you:

  • Have at least 1 years of experience with SAP Business One
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analysis and design skills
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Problem solving and analysis skills to create solutions in a business perspective
  • Have good SQL skills
  • Based in the UK

 

Preferred

 

Although not mandatory, it will be beneficial if you can demonstrate experience with:

  • SAP HANA platform
  • Boyum B1 Usability Package add-on
  • Service Layer
  • DI API and/or DI Server
  • SAP Integration Framework
  • Codeless Platforms BPA
  • Crystal Reports
  • DTW

We are looking for a SAP Business One Senior Consultant. This is an opportunity to take your career to the next level by joining a smaller but well established and respected company within the SAP Business One channel.

 

You will be a confident professional with a good understanding of business process within finance, supply chain and manufacturing, whilst being aware of modern technologies surrounding ERP.

 

You will be organised, diligent, have an eye for detail but also naturally patient and empathetic to customers.  In addition, you must be able to work effectively with others, at all levels with a common goal to deliver successful projects on time and in budget.

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

Your key responsibilities as a SAP Business One Consultant will include:

 

  • Work with in house project manager to lead SAP Business One implementations – all project phases & modules.
  • Act as Project Manager on smaller projects.
  • Produce project documentations i.e. Blueprints, Process Definition Documents, specifications for software development.
  • Collaborating with your team including other users, software developers / programmers, engineers / tech support, one behalf of your customers / projects and Signum.
  • Providing advice and guidance to customers regarding the appropriate use of SAP Business One software.
  • Provide solutions to meet customer requirements as per agreed scope / blueprint.
  • Provide consulting services to new and existing customers.
  • Provide end user training services to new and existing users.
  • Identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks.
  • Installation and upgrades of SAP B1 software and Add-ons.
  • Working on Help Desk to assist during staff holidays or periods of resource shortages.
  • Assisting the support team to resolve open support issues.
  • Updating internal systems with project time sheets and visits reports for your activities.
  • Assist in pre sales.
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge of SAP Business One and selected add-ons.

 

Requirements

 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • At least 3 years of experience with SAP Business One
  • Ability to manage a Scoping Exercise and produce Blueprint / Process Definition documentation
  • Ability to manage the project life cycle
  • Have full Project Lifecycle experience
  • Excellent spoken English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analysis and solution design skills
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Problem solving and analysis skills to create solutions in a business perspective
  • Good SQL skills
  • Experience using Crystal Reports
  • Experience loading data using DTW
  • Experience of Boyum add-ons & WMS / Scanning applications.
  • Experience of BPA and/or B1if (desirable but not essential)
  • Understanding of SAP HANA including Business Analytics.
  • Hold a current SAP certification (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to work from home and also travel to the office and customer locations.
  • Have a commercial mind-set.
  • Ambitious with a desire to learn new skills.

The role will be to work with a database of prospects that are a mixture of existing, dormant and new contacts.

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop strong relationships with prospects and ensure the Signum and SAP brand values are conveyed at all times

  • To maintain up to date knowledge of the SAP Product and Signum Services range

  • Any other duties as instructed by the line manager within the parameters of the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow a structured customer contact process as defined by line manager (Discovery call, software review, fulfilment, follow-up)
  • Understand your individual conversion ratios in order to attain targets set.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of SAP Products
  • Maximise potential for lead generation and sales opportunities
  • Respond to all request/queries in an appropriate and positive manner within agreed time scales
  • Use best practise at all times
  • Carry out such tasks as directed to meet the needs of the business
  • Managing the prospect database, updating all prospects information
  • Following up direct mail/ e-mail campaigns and marketing seminars.
  • Researching prospects and preparing information packs for the sales team.
  • Attend campaign briefings
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our products and services and the objectives of specific campaigns
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Attend exhibitions/tradeshows as a representative of Signum (this will involve overnight stays)
  • Develop, manage and nurture relationships with partners under the Signum Partnership Programme.
  • Act as a representative of the company and represent their interests at all times

Key qualities identified:

All candidates must be computer literate with an outgoing personality and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with prospects at all levels.

The position is targeted on appointment generation so the candidate needs to have the drive to succeed in a challenging marketplace.

Experience within a telesales/ sales environment dealing with software solutions would be beneficial, but not essential.
